It's a wonder we're not tucked somewhere in jail after trespassing and photographing this amazing abandoned barn/house still wtih the old hessian wallpaper, now peeling off, and an old fridge/oven also still inside.

Saw this as I was walking around Porto. Felt like the guy should have had something tucked under his arm like the sign on the left.

Early morning at Anikiwa in the Marlborough Sounds. The jetty shrouded in fog made an interesting subject to photograph. Freezing cold, minus 6 there was still ice on the jetty when we got there.

After the Storm

Canon 7D, Sigma 120-400mm Lens

Two friends out walking the dog on Rarangi beach after the storm. The sea was still very heavy swells rolling in one after the other. I have never seen it like this before. This is actually a colour print, but because I was shooting into the sun, it gave off this silver glow and silhouetted the men.

Canon 7D, 75-300mm Lens

Tui Portrait in Black and White.  These birds are native to New Zealand and have beautiful birdsong.  They're also great mimickers and can mimick things like phones, trucks backing and other environmental noises whichcan confuse people!

Morris 2

Canon 7D, 10-22mm Lens

Another shot of Morris, the Maine Coon cat but this time in Black and white.  He's looking up at his owner hoping that she'll feed him.  A cat as big as this has a hearty appetite.

The Lone Tree of Ballantyne Road

Canon 7D, 18-55mm Lens

Love lone trees in big expanses, but unfortunately they are so hard to find, but when I do, I tend to go overboard and take lots of images so I can choose which is the best.

Steam Train Carriage

Canon 7D, 18-55mm Lens

Old carriage attached to a vintage steam train at Shantytown on the West Coast of New Zealand, near Greymouth.  I waited until everyone had got off then sneaked back in for the photo!
