Pied Cormorant - we call them shags here in New Zealand. This was at sunrise, freezing cold, and very foggy. The Shag was warming his wings in the sun. This was as close as I could get before it flew off a bit later.

Four Pied Cormorants waiting for the sun to come out from behind the very thick fog.  (Hence the white background).  I have never seen fog so thick!
